Usefulness of the Client Satisfaction Questionnaire in measuring perceived satisfaction with wound care services

22 November 2017

A valid and reliably tested scale to measure patients’ satisfaction with wound care services (WCSs) would be useful in situations where a longer instrument has not previously been deployed. This cross-sectional study examined the usefulness of the Client Satisfaction Questionnaire (CSQ-8) to measure patients’ level of satisfaction with WCSs. Outpatient WCS users at Hamad General Hospital in Qatar were surveyed from January 2015 to February 2016. Overall, 81 respondents completed the survey. Mean patient satisfaction with WCSs was 30.19. Cronbach’s coefficient alpha for the patient satisfaction scale was 0.699. The Kaiser–Meyer–Olkin measure of sampling adequacy and Bartlett’s test of sphericity were statistically significant (p=0.000). Empirical evidence supports the usefulness of CSQ-8 in measuring perceived patient satisfaction with WCSs.
