The impact of culture on wound management in the Arab countries

<p>Although national registries and robustly designed cross-sectional national studies are currently absent in Arab countries, most of published data by international bodies, such as the International Diabetes Federation and World Health Organization, reveal that the Gulf countries are among the top countries in the prevalence of obesity and diabetes — conditions that can lead to diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs), venous ulcers, pressure ulcers and other chronic wounds.</p>
