Welcome to the 5th issue of the Wounds Middle East (WME) journal. Our journal is growing and developing and, in addition to Dr Hussam Itani, our regional advisor who has been with us right from the start, I’m proud to welcome some new members onto the WME’s editorial board; namely: Ruth Choudhry (Senior Podiatrist at Mafraq Hospital in Abu Dhabi), Dr Jeff Fairly (Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Healthpoint Hospital in Abu Dhabi), Dr Taqueer Ahmed Malik (Associate Consultant General Surgeon, Diabetic Foot Surgeon and Wound Care Specialist at King Fahad Armed Forces Hospital, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia) and Dr Mohammad Saleh (Associate Professor, Clinical Nursing Department, School of Nursing, The University of Jordan). Their invaluable experience and expertise will help shape and promote this journal, in addition to ensuring high-quality content through reviewing articles that fall into their field of expertise. If you would like to become a reviewer or if you are keen to write for WME, please contact our managing editor Edda Hendry ([email protected]). We would love to hear from you!
